Balboa Bay Resort

Balboa Bay Resort (Balboa Bay Club & Resort) is Newport Beach's only waterfront resort, founded in 1948 as a private yacht club and now operating as a resort with a separate members' club. The property offers roughly 30,000 sq ft of event space, including a 7,000 sq ft Grand Ballroom that accommodates up to approximately 300 guests banquet-style, and 159 guest rooms.

Why it works for investor events. A waterfront setting makes a memorable backdrop for investor gatherings, and the resort’s mix of a ballroom and smaller event spaces suits programs that combine presentations with relaxed networking. Its yacht-club heritage fits well with high-net-worth and family office audiences.

Event formats. Investor dinners and banquets of up to around 300 guests, waterfront receptions, roundtables and smaller pitch sessions.

Planning tips. John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest commercial airport, with Long Beach (LGB) and LAX also within driving distance. With 159 guest rooms, larger groups may need overflow hotels nearby, so reserve rooms early. Confirm parking arrangements with the resort.
